At Rodríguez, the quality of our products is an essential requirement; therefore, we have a highly qualified team of technicians and professionals to control quality. Monitoring of our products and processes starts with the acquisition of our raw materials. We undertake exhaustive checks on our providers through our provider approval program.
The meats’ quality is monitored throughout the entire process and we only use meats obtained from animals slaughtered at our own facilities for our products. One of our priorities is following up on the animals’ welfare – not only on the farm, but also throughout the transport, unloading, and slaughtering processes. To ensure said welfare, we take great steps to ensure that we have the proper means. Thus, the transport times and wait times in stockyards are optimized, as well as the process of taking the animals to the slaughterhouse, with CO2 being properly used – something that requires all members of staff involved in animal handling to be properly trained.
When preparing our products, we combine traditional methods with facilities that have modern technologies and exhaustive quality controls in place in accordance with regulations on food safety (IFS, HACCP). All of this is combined with internal control protocols designed by the Quality Department, which is made up of a multidisciplinary team that aims to provide the highest standards in terms of Food Quality and Safety in order to cater to even the most demanding customers and markets.
Our highly qualified technical team is constantly working on researching and developing new products, formats, and styles adapted to the needs of our customers, doing so always with the premise of maximum food safety in mind.
Our facilities align with current European regulations and our plant guarantees the most stringent technical controls in terms of hygiene and meat processing. We are in the process of obtaining IFS Food Safety certification (International Food Standard). Thanks to our commitment to safety and quality, our company is present in dozens of countries around the world.

Currently, our company slaughterhouse has the capacity to handle a million pigs per year.
We have a cutting room, multi-purpose refrigerated warehouses, and a meat processing facility (650,000 hams/year and 1,000,000 kilograms of cold meats/year).
